About me.
I grew up in a house where my dad did everything -- you know, the type of household where I never recall a service person coming to fix anything. Now, I did not carry on his mechanical skills, but I did discover a passion making items of beauty and utility out of wood.
Mission.
The mission of Ricketts Custom Woodworking, LLC is first and foremost living and working to the glory of God. He mercifully saved me by faith in Jesus Christ, and the work of my hands ought to respond with acts of thanksgiving and worship.
Legal Stuff.
All work is commission work and is priced at a set hourly rate. Materials are priced at market value. Deadlines are estimates and subject to change. A deposit of 50% of the estimated final cost is due before work commences. I reserve the right to accept or decline projects based on the work requested and schedule availability. Indiana sales tax will be charged. Almost all items are local pick up only with very limited delivery options on a case-by-case basis.
Wood Sourcing.
I use almost exclusively wood harvested from trees that I cut down and had processed or use lumber that I purchased from my sawyer. Some projects appropriately require plywood. Where applicable, this will be discussed with the client.
